What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I stumbled into RP on accident in a couple ways. I was on a discussion forum for the NZ show "The Tribe" and realized a girl there was trying to write a story that involved characters from Buffy and the Tribe show. I later noticed that people on Myspace were making accounts for comic characters and made a Power Girl account myself. From there, I fell down the rabbit hole. I'm a writer at heart and I love that RP is like writing the books you want to read and the collaborative side of it makes it so that you don't always see the twists and turns coming.
What television/movie/book character would you be? why?
Leslie Knope, Veronica Mars or Natasha Romanoff. If you swirl those three together, you get a lot of who I am/who I aspire to be.

What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I've been RPing for only about 5 years now, so not as long as some. I first started right after college when I didn't have much to do and didn't really know what direction I wanted to take in life. I have always loved reading and writing and I guess Roleplay seemed so perfect. Being able to craft a story with another person and change it with just a few words. It was absolutely addicting. I've never once looked back and love this hobby.
What television/movie/book character would you be? why?
Anyone in the Harry Potter books, though if I had to choose someone specific Luna Lovegood. For one I am obsessed with the wizarding world, so to be in that kinda world would be a dream come true. But for Luna specifically, I just love her perspective on the world and how she never lets anyone get her down and is never afraid to be herself despite what others think of her. She is so sweet and kind and just the best kind of person.

Back in the day of AOL chat rooms, I was given a list of different chats to check out, one of which was Harry Potter-themed. Turns out it was a chatroom for people to roleplay in. I was that obnoxious beginner who very blatantly asked what people were doing in the middle of their roleplays until a friend I still speak with (15+ years later) very gently explained what was going on. I had been writing stories since I was in elementary school, so it felt like a natural hobby for me. I stepped away for a good 5-7 years, then discovered forum roleplaying. My favorite thing about roleplaying is how dynamic it can be and how even your own characters can surprise you when they interact with another character you do not control.

    What is your Patronus? Why?
My Patronus is the orca. They are seriously the most fascinating creatures. I love that they are matriarchal, high adaptable and intelligent, and empathetic. I’m also very drawn to black and white animals, so their look is beautiful to me.

What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I was originally drawn into role-playing after working on character graphics for players on SIM websites (Horseland, etc.) who role-played using the chat platforms there. Never having been a fan of chatrooms, I found bulletin board-based websites that were more to my liking. The first site I ever wrote on was centered around wolves, but I later branched out to horses and eventually humans/supernaturals.

As for what I love about writing... Well, quite simply, it's my "happy place". My characters are completely separate from who I am, so it offers me this space where I can escape work and cleaning and cooking for a little bit each day. I truly love how unpredictable writing with a partner can be, how it pushes you to explore how characters with different personalities and backgrounds will respond to the situations they are thrown into. It's a wonderful way to practice empathy towards others, as you are constantly challenged to see things from a perspective other than your own.
    What is your Patronus? Why?
According to Pottermore, my Patronus is a rhinocerus. I've learned to embrace it, as the rhino really does fit me well. There's a duality about the nature of rhinos - they are these large, fierce-looking animals who are really very docile unless they feel threatened. Rhinos are also associated with peace, solitude, and steadiness, which are all qualities I strive for. They also share my very poor vision. ^_-

What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I started back in the AOL days. At first, I didn't understand what was going on, but quickly grew into it. It provided me a great escape, and foster a love of writing that I was only discovering I had. I love creating stories, universes and populating them with characters. At times with the job I have, my brain would constantly wander and think of the stories I have, or flesh out other ones.

What television/movie/book character would you be? why?
Ron Swanson. His character pretty much is an accurate representation of how I want to live my life.

What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I was always into writing as a kid and so I joined DeviantArt to post my stuff. That is where I met some amazing artists who had these things called 'OC's.' I was never really into Naruto but this one person had a really cute looking character that I really wanted to try a roleplay with that was in from the Naruto universe. Fast forward a few years and I'm still very interested in roleplaying with or as hot men.

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be? Why? Would you rock it?
In my own world, it is still very much in fashion. Babydoll dresses and Doc Martens from the 90's. If I'm entirely honest, maybe bring back all the bangers from that time. Pleated mini's, chokers and chain bets were cool af and I would definitely rock wearing all of them, how dare you assume otherwise?!

I actually can't put my finger on what got me into roleplaying! It was perhaps a twist of fate or just by coincidence, but, an old friend of mine started her own group and to support her, I joined. I never knew what roleplaying was, however, I took a risk and involved myself in the small group. I became interested in how a story started weaving between more than one person. It looked fun. In simpler terms, she told me it was writing with other people - collaborative writing. I wrote my first post for the group and as nervous as I was, it was absolutely cathartic! I really enjoyed it!

I loved writing since a young age and to have a platform to meet new people and learn from others was mind-blowing to lil' ol' me. I could say that I stumbled into roleplaying and as time passed, slowly grew to love talking about characters, concepts, plots, ideas, and other worlds with other creative writers. Roleplaying is a creative outlet, an itch that needs to be scratched. Although writing a book is quite different than roleplaying with others, it feels more interactive and pretty darn awesome, for the lack of better words, to share your thoughts, expressions, and experience with other people. It's reassuring and rewarding.

    What is your Patronus? Why?
Taking the Pottermore test, I recieved the Dapple Grey Stallion as my patronus and I couldn't be happier. As someone who absolutely love animals, I've always found horses to be a creatures who's trust aren't freely given as they tend to see pass the surface and into the heart of others. As someone who looks beyond superficial surfaces and looks deeper into other people, I feel as if I could connect with horses in that manner. I may not be as trusting to others - being quite private - but, nevertheless, an analysis of such my patronus indicates someone with a passionate soul: someone who's sensitive and emotional which intertwines in emotional intelligence of someone who's very empathetic and can have a bit of melancholy towards them. I find that my patronus sums me up quite well and represents my inner self.

What got you into RP and what do you love about it?
I kind of stumbled across it in a chat room one day about 20 years ago, when I was much younger. I observed for a while and then started writing. I'm not sure I've ever stopped. I had been writing for a while, but writing with multiple people was an idea I had never explored. As I got older and my RP improved with life experience, my writing did as well.

I love RP for the simple fact that you don't control every aspect of the story. You may think you know how something is going to go, and it veers off in a completely different direction. I am one of those roleplayers who treats my characters like separate entities from myself. I am not responsible for their words or actions, I just type them! It's an excellent distraction from every day living, and it continues to make me a stronger writer. (Even though, despite my editor's thoughts on it, I continue to use two-word sentences.)

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be? Why? Would you rock it?
I would definitely bring back the flowing looks of the 60s and 70s. I already dress a bit like a bohemian goddess, but it's sometimes difficult to find clothes. If someone would just give me Stevie Nicks' whole closet, I would be set! I love the layering, the comfort, and the ability to express yourself. I always enjoy feeling like a goth butterfly, so there's that. I already rock this look when I'm not at work, so I just want it to come back to make the clothes easier to find.
